Our Community Involvement

At HREBA we are highly active within the communities we serve. We love providing resources to help educate, promote, and support home ownership. We have recruited the best speakers and presenters to provide quality education at the many workshops we host.

We have conducted several home buyer workshops to low and moderate income families in city schools. Through fundraising, education, and community outreach we hope to make a strong impact in the lives of the families we serve that will last for generations.

HREBA held a Community Outreach Event!
Over seventy (70) Adult Students participated in the event where HREBA brought instruction and resources to them at the Family Literacy Center at AISD.
The goal of the Family Literacy Department is to help parents to be successful partners in the education for their children. They offer Adult Education classes for parents of children in Arlington Title 1 schools. Their dedicated and experienced instructors assist parents to gain or improve literacy skills as well as to prepare to take the GED exam. They also offer Early Literacy classes for their adult students' children while they attend class. The classes are free of charge; including the Early Literacy Program.
HREBA was proud to discuss the process of purchasing a home. The panel of experts included a Mortgage Loan Originator, Realtor®, Home Inspector, Homeowners Insurance Agent, and an Administrator of Federally Funded down payment assistance programs. The attendees were interactive with questions and received answers from the licensed professionals.
